KILLING KILLIAN (2007/16MINS)
Group therapy gone wrong. Very wrong.
This film was made as a response to the serious and expensive shorts the Columbia Film Festival was hosting every year. There was nothing wrong with them, but I preferred shooting something inexpensive, silly and absolutely insane, a 180 towards madness.
And it worked-- people were horrified, concerned and disgusted. At the pre-Festival screening there was stunned silence. Some hated it. Others were appalled. A few suggested censoring the gore. And nobody laughed.
But at the Festival, it was a different story. Sure, people were grossed out-- but they laughed. And laughed. And laughed some more. And that's all I wanted.
